What is covered?
- Unit Standard – 30658 Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental electrical safety in the workplace
- Unit Standard – 30657 Isolate low-voltage electrical subcircuits and perform basic checks and tests to confirm isolation
Who should enroll?
In New Zealand, you need a Trainee Limited Certificate (TLC) if you are working towards a trade that does electrical work. A TLC allows you to legally perform electrical work under the supervision of a registered and licensed electrical worker. You need to complete safety training within 3 months of receiving your TLC.
Entry Requirements:
- You will hold (or have applied for) a Limited Training Certificate with EWRB.
- You must be working under the supervision of registered electrical supervisor.
**Important Note**
You will also need to complete the First Aid and CPR Unit Standards 6401 and 6402 which are offered by specialist First Aid training providers locally in your area.
